While I have been on the boat there has been barely any wifi so I could not post any thing new on my blog. The boat was great fun. on the very first day we went to a nice quite bay called saw mill. Rowan and I went to the beach in the kayaks and went for an explore of the island. We saw a red back spider in the toilets.
The next day we went to a mangrove swamp which had one salt water crocodile which we did not cathch a glipse of. There were some fishing nets and we pulled one up to see what he was trying to catch, in the bottom of the net was the biggest crab you have ever seen.

We saw loads of whales (mum started to call them sea rats) in one bay there was a mother and her calf, we went right up close, it spurted out of its spout and got me very wet!

When we went to white heaven the sand was so fine that when you step on it it squeeked. Rowan and I played in the water and then swam back to the boat. We also went for a walk along to another beach that was across the island. On the beach there was a rotting turtle carus that was on the beach and loads of coco nuts which was quite impressive if you think about it  because the island only had one coconut tree on it and it was on the other side of the island.

WE split open all of the coconuts that we found but they were all off. I went snorkelling in a place called dolphins point it was amazing all of the coral and fish it was by far my favourite place.

Jez brought down one of his fishing rods we did catch some fish  but they were to small to eat sadly. On our seconded to last day I flew one of Jezes kite boarding kites and did body dragging it was my most favourite thing yet. Sorry i was not able to up load any Pictures so the the next post will have lots of pictures

  2. What a wonderful time you are having Josh. Can't wait to see all the pictures. We are very envious. Very pleased you didn't touch the spider, but how marvellous to see the whale and its baby - even if you did get wet ! The kite boarding sounds amazing. You will have to tell us how is works when you get home.
All is well here - the cat is very busy catching mice and voles and I am busy trying to catch the live ones she leaves in the house.
Continue to have a marvellous time and send us more news when you are able.
Lots and lots of love to you all and a big hug for Rowan.

  3. It is very good to hear from you again and to know that you are having such a good time. I have not seen a whale so I hope you will tell me all about it when we meet. Please give my love to everyone and keep on sending us such fascinating and entertaining reports. Perhaps you will be a journalist?

  4. What an adventure ! Fresh water crocs sound worth looking out for, especial if you see them before they see you. Giant crabs too. We are following your adventures with great enjoyment and look forward to further instalments. Your descriptions are so good, however, it is not always necessary to have them. We will look forward to them nevertheless

Much love to you, Rowan and to your Mum and Dad of course.
